1. Message us and share your 32 photos. Send the highest-quality original files available and tell us your preferred board size.
2. We arrange your photo layout. Your pictures are cropped into square positions while the alternating white squares remain unchanged.
3. Review your preview. Check the photo selection, cropping, placement, and orientation. Tell us if something needs adjusting.
4. Place your order when you are happy with the layout.
5. We print, securely package, and ship your personalized glass chessboard.

If you want particular photos in particular positions, include your instructions when sending the files.

4 mm Tempered Glass with Rear UV Printing

Your personalized photo chessboard is made from a flat, square panel of 4 mm tempered glass with polished edges, square corners, and a frameless finish.

High-resolution UV printing places your photographs on the backside of the glass, with a white protective backing layer behind the artwork. The clear glass front provides a smooth playing surface above the print.

The glossy finish produces natural reflections and gives your photo collection a clean, vivid presentation. Final print detail depends on the quality of the photographs you provide.

A Functional Chessboard for Play and Display

Your memories form part of a playable chessboard with 8 rows, 8 columns, and 64 equal squares. The layout contains 32 photo squares and 32 white squares, with a white square at each player’s lower-right corner.

Bring your own chess pieces and enjoy a game on the smooth glass surface. Between games, the board can remain on display as a personal collection of photographs.

Because photographs vary in brightness and color, photo squares may have less uniform contrast than a traditional black-and-white chessboard. Your preview lets you check how the collection looks together.

All three sizes feature the same 32-photo layout. Larger boards provide larger photo squares and more room for suitably sized chess pieces.

These square dimensions apply to the edge-to-edge layout. Check your chess-piece base sizes before choosing a board; each base should fit comfortably within its playing square.

Color and Photo Style Options

Keep your photographs in their original color, or discuss a coordinated treatment such as black and white or soft vintage tones when requesting your layout.

Photo treatments apply to the photograph squares; the alternating white squares remain white. Review the chosen appearance in your preview before ordering.

Printed photographs can suggest depth, but the finished glass surface remains completely flat and smooth.

How to Choose Your 32 Photos

For the clearest printed results:

• Send original, high-resolution photographs whenever possible.
• Avoid screenshots, heavily compressed files, and blurry images.
• Choose photographs with faces away from the image edges.
• Remember that rectangular photos require square cropping.
• Include placement or orientation instructions with your files.
• Supply photographs you own or have permission to reproduce.

We arrange your pictures within the square layout, but cropping cannot restore missing detail or make an out-of-focus photograph sharp.

Colors may differ slightly between your screen and the finished print.

Easy to Clean

Gently wipe the glass front with a soft microfiber cloth to remove fingerprints and everyday marks. When needed, use a lightly dampened cloth, then dry the surface with a soft cloth.

Your photographs sit beneath the glass, so cleaning takes place on the smooth front surface. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh cleaning products.

Care and Handling

Tempered glass provides increased strength compared with ordinary annealed glass, but it can still break if dropped or struck.

Place the board on a clean, stable, level surface. Lift and reposition it carefully, protect its edges and corners from impacts, and avoid dragging it across rough surfaces.

Production takes 2–3 business days after your order is placed and your final photo layout is ready for printing. Photo collection, layout preparation, and requested adjustments take place before production begins.
