Terms

The rules of the road, written like we'd say them.

These are the terms under which we sell to you, and you use this site. They're written to be readable. If anything is unclear, email us at info@zaanvo.com and we'll explain.

Effective: 12 June 2026 · Last updated: 24 July 2026

1. Who we are

ZAANVO LLC, operating under the brand name Zaanvo, owns and operates this website at zaanvo.com. In these Terms, "Zaanvo," "we," "us," and "our" refer to ZAANVO LLC. We design, manufacture, and sell tempered glass backsplashes, wall art, and custom photo panels. By placing an order or using this website, you, referred to as "the customer" or "you," agree to the Terms below.

2. When an order becomes binding

Submitting the checkout form on this site is a request to buy, not a finished contract. The contract forms when:

  1. We email you a payment link, and
  2. You complete payment via that link.

Until that happens, you can change or cancel your order at no cost by replying to the order confirmation email. We can also decline an order — for example, if your shipping country isn't a place we currently ship to, or if there's a pricing error we spot before invoicing.

3. Prices and currency

Prices on the site are shown in US dollars (USD) and euros (EUR). The price you confirm at checkout is the price we charge.

Prices include the cost of the panel and packaging. Shipping is free on every order. Orders shipped within the United States are not subject to import duties or customs fees. For orders shipped outside the United States, any local taxes, VAT, or import requirements are set by your country and paid directly to your customs office or carrier, not to us.

From time to time we run promotional discounts (right now: 55% off the original list price). Discounted prices are the actual prices you pay; the original (compare-at) price is what the piece would cost without the discount.

4. Custom orders and made-to-order policy

Every panel is cut to your specific size after we receive payment. Because of that:

  • Before we cut the glass, you can change size, design, or cancel for a full refund. Reply to the order confirmation email.
  • Once production starts, dimensions can't be changed (we're already cutting your piece), but we can usually still swap the design.
  • Once shipped, only the damage / wrong-spec policy applies (see Section 6).

5. Shipping

We ship worldwide via FedEx from our Florida studio. Full details of carriers, zones, expected delivery times, and our packaging methodology are on the Shipping & returns page.

The risk of loss and damage transfers to you on delivery, not on dispatch. That means if a parcel is lost or damaged in transit, it's our problem to resolve, not yours.

6. Damage, faults, and wrong-spec orders

If your panel arrives damaged, or doesn't match what you ordered (wrong size, wrong design, missing cutouts), we will remake and reship it at no cost to you. You don't need to return the original.

To open a claim, email info@zaanvo.com within 48 hours of delivery with the photo evidence described on the damage policy section.

Where remake isn't practical (for example, you no longer want the piece), we will issue a full refund instead.

7. Returns

Every panel is produced for you in the size and design you chose, so unless it arrives damaged in transit from FedEx, we can't accept returns.

This doesn't affect your statutory rights where they apply (for instance, EU consumers buying online normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal — but EU rules carve out a specific exception for goods made to the consumer's specification, which our panels are).

8. Intellectual property

All product designs, photographs, text, graphics, branding, website content, and software on this website are owned by ZAANVO LLC or licensed to ZAANVO LLC. You may not copy, reproduce, or commercially use them without our written permission.

You're welcome to share photos of your installed panel on social media or your own site — that's exactly the kind of word-of-mouth we appreciate.

If you ask us for a custom design that uses a third party's image (a family photo, an artist's work), you confirm to us that you have the right to use that image. We rely on that confirmation and can't verify it independently.

9. Limitation of liability

We do our best to describe products accurately, ship safely, and stand behind what we make. But, except for our remake-or-refund guarantee in Section 6, we limit our total liability for any single order to the price you paid for that order. We're not liable for:

  • Damage caused by improper installation — see the installation guide for our recommendations
  • Damage caused by impact, misuse, or extreme thermal shock after delivery
  • Slight colour variation between the screen image and the printed panel — printed colour is never an exact match for a screen's backlight
  • Indirect losses, such as inability to use a kitchen during a delayed shipment

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited — for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

10. Force majeure

We're not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control — for example: customs holds, carrier strikes, extreme weather, public health restrictions, or loss of utilities at our workshop. We'll always communicate quickly and refund where a delay makes the order impractical for you.

11. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy policy. By placing an order, you confirm you've read it.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms — for example, when our payment providers, shipping zones, or product range change. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects any change. Orders placed before a change are governed by the terms in effect when you placed them.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States of America, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that isn't resolved by writing to us first will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Pinellas County, Florida.

Where you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country in which you reside still apply, and you may bring any dispute against us in the courts of that country. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under those consumer-protection rules.
